Class Q : Professionals working for Religious or Charitable organization
Who Qualifies
A member of prescribed professional and working for religious or charitable organizations and who is not involved in preaching or the conduct of religious worship and rituals.
Requirements For New Applications:
- Duly filled and signed Form 25 online form. You will print out the form at the end of the application.
- Two(2) recent passport size colored photos (for both new and renewal)
- Copies of valid national passport (bio-data page)
- Current Immigration status if in the country
- Detailed and signed cover letter from the applicant, addressed to the Director General of Immigration Services stating the nature of employment or business intended location and duration of stay, location of employer or clients or business.
- Signed cover letter from the employer/company/organization addressed to the Director General of Immigration Services.
- Proof of nationality.
- Clearance from professional bodies and relevant government entities.
- Academic and professional certificates
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Suitable Understudy
- Physical address of the organization headquarters.
- Certificate of incorporation/registration certificate
- Organization and individual tax compliance or exemption

Note
- Renewal requirement of Tax Compliant Certificate for both employer and applicant
- It is an offence for a person to knowingly mislead an Immigration Officer (section 53 (1)(a) of Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act, 2011).
- Incomplete applications shall not be accepted.
- Additional documents may be requested in addition to the listed.
- Where the holder of a work permit ceases to engage in the employment in respect of which the work permit was issued, the employer specified in the work permit shall, within fifteen days from the date of such cessation, report, in writing, to the director that the holder has ceased to engage in such employment.
- Any employer who contravenes this regulation commits an offence.
