- Applicant must be:
a) Kenyan
b) Holder of a valid Entry permit, or
c) Exempted person under Immunities Act (Cap. 179) covered under section 4(3) (a) to (g).
2. Note:
- The Dependent Pass is exclusively designated for married couples.
- It is prohibited to participate in trade or employment while holding a Dependent Pass.
- Original passports of both applicant and dependent required during submission.
Requirements for Female/Child Dependent:
1. Cover Letter:
- Original cover letter from applicant, addressed to THE DIRECTOR OF IMMIGRATION SERVICES.

- Copy of passport, Kenyan ID, and Kenyan birth certificate (if Kenyan).
- Copy of work permit (if non-Kenyan).
- Copy of national passport of the dependent.
- Two recent passport-size photos of the dependent.
- Copy of birth certificates or marriage certificate (translated and certified).
- Original Authorization Letter for Father’s Hand Limited (if using their services).
4. Fees:
- KES 5,000 per dependent (cash).
- Security bond of KES 100,000 to be made with a bank or insurance company (to be done after approval).
Requirements for Male Dependent:
1. Cover Letter:
- Original cover letter from applicant, addressed to THE DIRECTOR OF IMMIGRATION SERVICES.
2. Application Form:
- Form 28 duly filled and signed.
3. Documentation:
- Copy of marriage certificate (translated and certified).
- Copy of passport, Kenyan ID, or Kenyan birth certificate (if Kenyan).
- Copy of work permit (if non-Kenyan).
- Copy of national passport of the dependent.
- Two recent passport-size photos of the dependent.
- Proof of sufficient income from applicant.
- Certified copy of sworn affidavit of incapacity.
- Proof of any other condition leading to dependency.
- Original Authorization Letter for Father’s Hand Limited (if using their services).
4. Fees:
- KES 5,000 per dependent (cash).
- Security bond of KES 100,000 to be made with a bank or insurance company (to be done after approval).
Once payments are submitted, the final pass will be processed and endorsed in the applicant’s passport after a few days.
