Student Pass Requirements
1. Application Form
- A duly filled, signed and stamped application Form 30 by the institution's authorized personnel (both new and renewal cases)
- You can print the form at the end of the application or reprint it from the "My Applications" section
2. Cover Letter
- Detailed and signed cover letter addressed to the Director of Immigration Services from the institution
- Must indicate the course to be pursued and the duration (both new and renewal cases)
3. Financial Documentation
- Signed commitment letter from the sponsor (both new and renewal cases)
- National passport copy of the sponsor (both new and renewal cases)
- Proof of funds for self-sponsored students (both new and renewal cases)
4. Passport and Immigration Documents
- Copy of a valid national passport - bio-data page (both new and renewal cases)
- Current immigration status documentation (if already in the country)
- Copy of student's pass previously held (for renewal cases only)
5. Photographs
- Two recent passport-size color photos (both new and renewal cases)
6. Academic Documentation
- Certified copies of basic academic certificates for those joining Tertiary Institutions and Universities (new cases)
- Certified copies of progress report/transcripts obtained (for renewal cases)
7. For Minors
- Consent letter from the parent (both new and renewal cases)
- Copy of parent's national passport
- Copy of birth certificate of the minor as proof of relationship
- For non-boarders, attach a copy of parent's Kenya residence permit
8. Institution Documentation
- Copy of the school's/college registration certificate from the Ministry of Education (new cases)
9. Additional Requirements
- Documents in foreign languages must be translated into English by an Embassy, Public Notary, or authorized institution
- Police Clearance Certificate from country of origin or Kenya Police Service (if resident)
- Clearance letter from Department of Refugee Affairs for refugees (both new and renewal cases)

Internship/Research Pass Requirements
1. Application Form
- A duly filled, signed and stamped application Form 30 by the institution's authorized personnel (both new and renewal cases)
2. Cover Letter
- Detailed and signed cover letter from the institution indicating the internship or research topic to be pursued and the duration
- Must be addressed to the Director of Immigration Services
3. Passport and Immigration Documents
- Copy of a valid national passport (bio-data page)
- Current immigration status documentation (if in the country)
4. Photographs
- Two recent passport-size color photos
5. Academic Documentation
- Duly certified copies of academic certificates and CV
6. Research Documentation
- Copy of research permit from the National Council for Science and Technology (for research programs)
7. Additional Requirements
- Documents in foreign languages must be translated into English by an Embassy, Public Notary, or authorized institution
- Police Clearance Certificate from country of origin or Kenya Police Service (if resident)
- For minors, attach a copy of parent's Kenya residence permit if not a boarder
